Tenio DeCuerdas Eskrima
We teach the traditional Filipino martial art of DeCuerdas Eskrima, a comprehensive and practical combat system rooted in the Philippines’ rich martial heritage. Our curriculum provides in-depth training in stick fighting, knife defense, empty-hand techniques, and the effective use of improvised weapons. Students develop practical skills that emphasize adaptability, precision, and real-world application.
DeCuerdas Eskrima is a close-quarters fighting system designed for both armed and unarmed combat against single or multiple opponents. The system integrates weapons and empty-hand techniques into a unified approach, allowing practitioners to transition seamlessly between different ranges and combat situations. Training includes striking, joint locking, sweeping, takedowns, throws, chokes, and grappling techniques. These skills are practiced from standing, seated, and ground positions, preparing students to respond effectively in a wide variety of self-defense scenarios.
Multiple Weapons
Our Filipino martial arts weapons training provides students with a variety of weapons. We work with different stick fighting, knife work, and other weapons that you can use to keep yourself safe.
Different Positions
Even while using weapons, you will find yourself in many different situations. To keep yourself safe, you’ll need to know how to operate while unbalanced, standing, sitting, on the ground, and more.
Scenario Training
You never know what scenario you may find yourself in. That’s why we go through a variety of scenarios where you may be attacked. Whether you are armed, your opponent is armed, or both, you’ll learn the best way to approach the situation.
